Jacqueline Byrne & Karen Evans from Healthy Buildings Ireland (HBI) at BIFM conference HBI celebrated becoming a corporate member of BIFM by attending BIFM Ireland’s 10th Annual Conference. Jacqueline Byrne, account manager at HBI commented "The conference was a great event and we enjoyed both meeting the delegates and listening to the wide variety of subjects discussed in the seminars.

With the HSE focusing more on legislative compliance than ever before, it is essential that we support our clients in developing a culture of proactivity towards their compliance requirements. Recent years have seen changes in both attitude and legislation in areas such as Fire Risk Management, Asbestos and Energy Management, which have challenged many organisations. The recent HSE campaign to inspect Asbestos registers in the hospitality and retail sectors is a clear example of this.

Plus the media focus on legionella control is on-going, as seen with the reports on the Scottish outbreaks and the continued issues in some hospitals, it is important that we support our clients in helping them to understand the issues and to take the appropriate and necessary actions."
